Worlds, the final days

Friday night we had an awesome dinner, the food was fantastic, and the bathroom trip was really wild. Seriously. Apparently that part of the building was merged with some type of "modern art" "in situ" exhibition. It was like the Guggenheim teleported into Louisville and the restaurant didn't get out of the way in time.

Walking down the hall way, you pass a projector that is displaying a live video of yourself on a wall. But superimposed on the screen are letters falling like snow flakes. The cool part is that you can catch the letters and interact with them. Somehow it detects the outlines of your body.

Then, in the bathroom itself there are video screens embedded in the mirror with videos of people's eyes watching you. Kind of bizarre. The urinals are actually one long waterfall, with a one way mirror behind it so you can see people through the wall, behind the water, walking down the hallway.

Anyway the food was good, and Louisville is a pretty cool city. The entire downtown section was connected by this elevated walkway that just plows straight through the buildings, and takes you over and above all the traffic and weather below.

It's a great way to get around by foot. Or, if you want to take the streets, there are free bicycles available to use. We think that they could be retrofitted with PowerTaps and Dugasts.

Everywhere you walk, there is more art.

Occupy Louisville:

Everytime I leaned over the balcony in our hotel, I got a sense of vertigo.

But a great view for breakfast.

The hotel room doubled as a pretty workable bike shop.

Just across the street from our hotel was the central "4th st live" part of town.

Down there was where the podium ceremony and SRAM after party was. There are two rainbow jerseys in this picture.

We met some of the Emmaus constituency, and proceeded to beat them in pool. I wasn't playing....
